Where's My Coat?

I have had a coat that looks like this for about 6 years:

I am someone who holds onto clothes and shoes until they die. If they are cute and still pretty stylish, why spend more money? I still receive compliments on this coat and it's in good condition, so I keep wearing it. Anyways, my mother informed me that I needed to get rid of this coat because I have had it for so long. We compromised and I said I would get a new coat if I can keep my old one. So today, we were walking around Macy's looking for a coat. Well, my mother informed me that I am allowed to keep this coat, if I get a new one. So, today we went to Macy's and I tried on a plethora of different coats.  Eventually I chose a new one, and, ready to leave the store, went to put on my old one that I had hung over some other coats. Much to my distress, I realized that the one I was trying to put on, was not my old coat, but one that still had a price tag on it. My sister and I frantically ran around the store looking for it.  I just knew that I had probably hung it up on a hanger or someone had taken it (yes, sometimes I jump to conclusions). When I had stressed for about five minutes, a light bulb went off: I had left my coat in the car. My mother, sister, and I proceeded to laugh hysterically at my absentmindness.
